Abstract

The article deals with correction of dsturbance of development of the motor areas in children with mental retardation. This disturbance has a negative impact not only on the level of physical development, but also on the whole process of socialization of child’s personality and its social-domestic adaptation and integration. Application of adaptive physical education methods, such as: rational distribution of differentiated assistance to children with mental retardation, application of various modifications of equipment and devices, modified methods of teaching motor actions, contribute to streamlining and individualization of the process of training the main motor actions of children with mental retardation, improvement of their physical development, physical fitness and the quality of their life.
